Online blackjack is almost identical to traditional blackjack, with essentially the same internet blackjack rules. The aim in online blackjack is, (as in regular blackjack), to defeat the dealer, not the other players. There are two ways to accomplish this in online blackjack.
The first method involves a player winning by beating the dealer's hand. This occurs when the player's hand is valued higher than the dealer's but less than 21. If a hand exceeds 21, it loses ("busts"). |

The next method of winning in online blackjack happens when a player wins by staying in the game. The player can accomplish this as long as his hand value is under 21, until the dealer busts his own hand. This conservative method of winning will see you survive many more rounds of online blackjack than if you always go for 21.
You must use both options to win consistently in online blackjack. It is like a race, you need to use all methods at your disposal. The most common mistake novices make is trying to beat the dealer every time. These players usually bust while trying. This causes them to lose many hands they would have won had they stood on a lesser total and waited for the dealer to bust. |
